- Reamer bits are used for precision expansion of a hole to its finished size. It is important to pre-drill the hole to be reamed to the recommended diameter before the reaming operation. Leaving the hole to be reamed the recommended amount undersize will produce an exceptionally accurate hole diameter after the reaming process.
